I did not go in there expecting anything really, luckily i just went soon as it came out so not so many people had watched in and thank goodness the reviews were........ very few.. and the ones posted, i chose not to read until after.
I must warn you though, as you continue reading, i am NO professional at analyzing movies so nothing technical will be said, just a lay-man giving my opinions - so don't take it too seriously.
SYNOPSIS
So, a young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth.....blah blah... we all know the Superman story, nothing changed, well, apart from the really cooooool suit, being shot down from a different planet in a weird space-ship-like looking object..
PROS
Obviously the really cool Costumes worn.. Superman's costume was awesome.. kinda reminds me of Spiderman, that thread-like-looking texture.. so beautifully intertwined!
The fight between Superman and whats his face, the good but bad guy, oh yes, Zod, was awesomely awesome. I mean his death was shameful but good nonetheless.
Maybe this should be a con but the girl bad guy was off the chain!!
CONS
Uhm, Lois Lane seemed a little too important than she should have been... I do like her though.. very fearless... but their relationship was too intense in such a short space.. I guess the attention was not to be paid on the romance aspect but more on the full story.
Also, i thought Clark looked awesome with the beard! ;)
There was that one park at the beginning of the movie when he jumped to save the burning building, the jump was awesomely fake! Reminds me of Fast 6, Vince jumping to save his girl and miraculously lands on the car.... #yawn!
CONCLUSION
All in All, i stayed awake through out the movie. I mean the first few seconds were .........blahhh! but soon after, it was full on awesome!! Such a Great Movie.
