NOSTALGIA: The SuperSupper March!!!!!

Omg!!!! you cannot imagine how extremely excited i was to find the lyrics to the song that we sung in my lower primary... anyone that went to RPS here in Lusaka in Lower Primary will know what i am talking about..!!

My music teacher absolutely loved this song and when i learnt it i have never forgotten it and today, i decided to google it, just incase it was a REAL song........................ #Surprised!!! #Bless my music teacher's soul, it is a real song... So excited.. i have to teach my kids >>>> when i have some! For Now... Lyrics to one of my favorite rhymes ever!!!

Hungry, hungry I am hungry
Table, table here I come
I could eat a goose-moose burger
Fifteen pickles and a purple plum

I could eat three bowls of goulash
Half a pound of wuzzled wheat
I could eat a peck of poobers
Then I`d really get to work and eat

Oysters, noodles, strawberry stroodles
French fries, fish hash, one red beet
Lamb chops, wham chops
Huckleberry mish mash
Oh, the things that I could eat

Doughnuts, dump-a-lings
Blueberry bump-a-lings
Chocolate mush-mash, super sweet
Clam stew, ham stew,
Water melon wush wush
Oh, the stuff that I could eat

Deep dish rhubarb, upside-down cake
I could eat a frittered flum
Hungry, hungry, I am starving
Table, table, here I come!!!

*********Still cant stop smiling.. it silly.. but its an amazing kind of silly.. So nostalgic this!! *********

Well, the King of all things food to be honest... but today, we focus on his burgers. OMG! was what my tongue said to my taste buds that transmitted that message to my Brain!! (not bothered about the actual flow of information)....

Gourmet Veg Burger

It was some kind of Veggie burger that he made me.. i was standing right there and do not understand how i did not steal the recipe (muhahaha). Was too concerned about chopping onions and fruit whilst he did all the work. He made dinner for about six (6) people (himself included) and he decided to launch his Burgers!!

Yes, i made that salad! lol

ETERNAL LOVE

1st CORINTHIANS 13 KINDA LOVE! (from The Message Bible)

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.

If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

Love never dies.

Photoshoot Frenzy: Salma's Album Cover

After planning for so long it was finally time to shoot Salma's Album cover. Was pretty excited because it is meant to be unique and of course showcase a side of Salma that resonates with her new music.

Unfortunately I cannot give any full details of the shoot as it meant to be a surprise and your over-active mind will make it out if i even dare describe it..lol

Needless to say, Everything went AMAZING!!! The photography was on point! Our photographer for the day was Gareth Bentley >> www.garethbentley.com >> first time meeting him in person and I can safely say..... WOW to his work... and I mean the RAW footage, it honestly looks Photoshopped.. so awesome to meet talent of that Level... and to find it here, Locally....!

The Wardrobe, Goodness, Stylist Stephanie of The Closet is amazing!!!! The garments were gorgeous...

Can not wait to finally share the pictures once the album is out!

PSALM 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    FOREVER.

GROWING UP IN AN AFRICAN HOME

Got this in my email and found it hilarious and True... or atleast Most are true... Enjoy........

Things That Happen When You Grow Up In An African House

1. Your parents are basically demi-gods. It doesn’t matter if you
learned that the sky is blue. If your parents say the sky is orange, the
sky is in fact, orange. At least, in their presence.

2. Your parents will seldom ever admit they are wrong. And if and when
they do, you will be too stunned to even believe it.

3. Your grandparents are the only people who can put your parents in
their place. (And you will enjoy those moments.)

4. Your house is a free for all. At some point a relative,
twice-removed, will be invited to stay for an extended-period of time.

5. You will likely be raised the old-fashioned way -“you spare the
rod, you spoil the child” kind of old-fashioned way. In your
adulthood, you’ll largely be grateful for it and you’ll always be
able to tell the difference between people who were raised the same way
and people who were not.

6. God help you if you’re living under your parent’s roof and you
yell at them, slam a door in anger, and/or curse in their presence.
Yeah, God help you.

7. The youngest child will be blamed for everything….until he or she is
able to talk.

8. The oldest child will be blamed for everything that the younger
children do.

9. If you cry while being accused of something, it is assumed that you
are guilty.

10. Your parents will call you from upstairs, downstairs, outside,
etc., to hand them something that is literally 10 centimeters away from
them.

11. You will not leave your parents’ home without learning how to
cook.

12. Religious attendance and practice is not an option.

13. Everyone who is older than you is your “auntie” or “uncle.”
Calling them by their first name is basically a crime against humanity.

14. You will probably never meet all of your extended family because
there are just so many of them.

15. This one specifically applies to most Nigerians (although I have to
hand it to papa and mama Biakolo for not putting this kind of pressure
on us): Doing well in school is not an option and by doing well, parents
have expectations that you will be the best at everything. Example: If
you get a 98%, they might ask, “What happened to the other 2%?” If
you get a B, your parents will likely ask, “The person who got an A,
do they have three heads?” Just do well in school.

16. Your friends better greet your parents first when they see them or
that friendship is pretty much over. R-E-S-P-E-C-T is H-U-G-E.

17. Sleepovers at friends’ houses are mythical tales or basically
only happen when your parents have known the family’s family since the
beginning of time.

18. Another mythical tale - being in a serious relationship with anyone
when you’re in your teens. And until your parents believe you are of,
“courtship age,” they will refer to anyone you are dating as,
“your friend.”

19. You will still be expected to have a traditional
engagement/marriage regardless of where the person you’re marrying is
from. (Have fun explaining the details of that to all your significant
others!)

20. Your parents will talk to you in a lot of proverbs and metaphors.
For example, when I was 12, I spent half a day trying to figure out what
my dad meant when he said, “When I talk to you and advise you, do I
talk with water in my mouth?” I eventually got it.

21. You will have maybe 3 conversations about sex with your parents -
one when puberty starts to take its course, the second one when you
start secondary school Biology, and the third one when you are about to
leave home. They will all surprisingly sound like the Mean Girl’s
quote, “Don’t have sex because you will get pregnant and die!”
followed by “Do not bring shame to this family!” Got it parents, I
can’t start dating until I’m married and I can’t have sex until
after I’ve had children.

22. Your siblings will be the first people to bully the crap out of
you. Later on, you’ll realize that they were preparing you for a big
bad world out there.

23. If your entire full name is being called, and your native language
is also being spoken, the day shall not pass without tears.

24. Soda in the fridge? Either your parents were in a REALLY good mood
or there are visitors coming over.

Life and Living

The thing about Life is that Things don't always go how you want them to.. and frankly, they rarely will.. but that doesnt mean you should give up on it...

In this life, we will all experience...firstly LOVE, be it from a parent or whatever other source..

And with that comes HURT.. the only way that feeling can exist is if you exposed yourself to love and ofcourse expected from that Love, otherwise, why would you be Hurting?!... and its okay to expect!

Hurt can also be as a result of REJECTION >> which is expressed in many ways.. either by a friend, a parent or a partner, it could come in many forms.. cheating is one.. or plain and simple, Breakup for really reasons you cant fathom even after years of the silly ordeal.

So many misconceptions with this!! some feel like its their fault they were rejected and feel guilty for the longest time and some blame the others... Aaaaaaargh.. its so complex.. you just always want closure.. if it means tracking down this parent, confronting this Friend or .......constantly stalking this ex-partner for closure... Truth is, There is never a response too good to make you feel better! You are the Master of your Decisions.......so decide...............................to Move On!!!!! Regret Nothing, they say that.. because at one point in your life, THAT which you got is exactly what you WANTED!!

Through it all....... remember to;

To be honest, this wont guarantee you a happier LIFE contrary to that heading.... it ONLY helps you with the quality of your Life.. other than that, You will still get Hurt!! AGAIN!!!! and AGAIN!!!! hopefully a little wiser!

FRIENDS: Best Friends Weekend!

My Weekend in Pictures;

The 3 Muske...... uh, thats played out!

The 3 of us rarely get to see each other because we are all very busy with our different lives and lifestyles. This time though, Tasha was in the country for like ....a day, literally.. and it was timely because it was Tesh's birthday...whooooop whooop!!! We rarely get to all be together in the same country...at the same time.. the last time we hang out was......hmmmmmm... yeah that long. we have been such great friends from high school.. Although very close, we have such different personalities that compliment each other extremely well..

Tasha is doing her PhD in Australia.Tasha is and has always been our voice of reason.

Tash
Tesh
Tesh is a lawyer. She is incredibly sweet but don't take that for weakness because she can be a feisty one. hehe..

lunch at the Mint Cafe in Lusaka
and Me... well, im just Me..
Lian
We make sense together and it is a blessing that we are still very close regardless of distance most times and communication barriers. What's important is, when it matters, we are there for each other, we protect our own.

We are way past Friends, we are Sisters!! <3
